As soon as the Apple Watch release was announced, Chipotle knew there would be a use case for tech savvy burrito eaters. The Apple Watch Chipotle app is an extension of their existing ordering app, allowing user to place favorite orders with a single tap of the burrito button. The goal was to create a fun, smart and compelling way to order from Chipotle.

Challenges
Designing an application for a digital interface that hasn't been released is a tricky task. Besides interaction and style guidelines, the general user experience was not yet available for personal testing. During our creative process we inevitably made some assumptions and eventually our team of two (along with other select companies) headed to Cupertino to work directly with the Apple Team to realize the full potential of the new app.
Outcome
Chipotle for Apple Watch was a huge success. The app made it into the iTunes store with a small subset of apps for pre-release marketing. It was referenced by User Experience Evangelist, Rachel Roth, during the Apple Watch Developers conference and featured on dozens of blogs, including Wall Street Journal, Entrepreneur, Mashable, and GQ Magazine.
